Depends on the size and wealth of the congregation. And the ethics of the preacher. Some take the smallest salery they can live on so the money can go to help others. Some have 5 bedroom beachhouses.

That depends on the church and his congregation and god's will. I have yet to see an honest preacher with a god fearing true spirit of god want for anything in this life unlike some used car salesmen I have met.

I make much less than a car salesman at preaching.

We have this odd idea that preachers shouldn't get paid much. Some are overpaid, some are not paid.

And the point is America is ruining christians.

Really depends. One opens the door and shows you to the Spirit by Chrysler, the other opens the door to another Spirit. One reward for the sale is temporal, the other eternal. How can you compare?

Just FYI. Jehovah's Witnesses preach and teach voluntarily. We don't get paid going door-to-door. We keep our Kingdom Halls clean and maintained by voluntary donations (material things or personal time).

According to Matthew 10:8 preachers are not to receive monetary reimbursement for our ministry.

Probably less, since the job is supposedly one that is done because a person gives of oneself, with little or no expectation of making a profit.

I think preachers make more. Have you noticed how they always have nice homes and cars..even if the church is in shambles. Plus they always seem to be able to afford college for their children.
