I can't believe in any of these people. I've been to 4 in the last six odd years. I was feeling upset about the death of my Dad and wanted to find out something about the afterlife. I was not in a good frame of mind at the time. Infact, I feel like I've woken up now and wonder why I even went, that's how zombified I was at the time. They pray on people like that I think. The 3 main reasons I can't trust them is that:
1. All of the supposedly reputable ones I went to did the old,
"I can see a G"
"no"
"...er maybe its a P?"
"no"
"Er..*fluff, fluff, fluff*"
2. I told them all of my family were well and not one of them said anything about my Dad being dead. One even said he'd bought a new mower or garden impliment recently because I accidently on purpose said he liked gardening!
3. Generally too vague,
"I see you have a sister"
"no"
"no, you're right, it's a brother"
"yes"
"and you're the oldest?"
"no"
"Why are you protective then?"
Er...because I love him?!!??

Most are con artists. I believe if a actural person had this power she/he weren't use the power for money.

I am sorry you have had nothing but crap from those people and understand why you cannot believe any of them. I would be the same too if it had happened to me over & over again.. Many of the mediums out there are only in it for money hun, and it spoils it for the rest of us. They are very annoying!!.grrrr!!!. Maybe one day someone will come out with a name for you or tell you something that only you know, so i would suggest, and only if you want to, try a spiritualist church. They are genuine and honest there and in no way shape or form do they rip you off. They do or don't come to you with a message, and they don't "pray" on people. I have seen quite a few mediums, and i would highly recommend them. My favourite one being Betty Allen, in Sheffield. She was fantastic and extremely accurate. Rose CLifford from Rochdale is another one, and even the old gypsy woman at Eastgate market Skegness, again, very accurate and a wonderful person. I have seen one woman, some of the info was correct, but too much of it was guess work, needless to say i didn't go and see her again!. As to some of the reactions on here, just because we can forsee things or give out names and messages from loved ones that have passed over, does not make us evil people. Was not Jesus a medium too?........i think so!.dont get me started!, lol.

I've never seen 1 medium, spiritualist, psychic etc. who I didn't think was running a scam. By keeping their predictions and visions vague and generalized, there's less of a chance of people thinking their phony.

i was very sceptical before i went to have my cards read, the lady only spoke to me twice, once to ask if i would like a coffee and the other to giver her my full name. she then spent a full hour reading my cards, to say i was shocked is an understatement i just couldn't believe the things she was telling me things that no one could possibly know.no vague questions she just kept telling me things that were happening in my life, she described my boy friend perfectly she even told me what he drank when he went out so i think the ones you have been using are obviously not very good

Satan has the power to perform miracles, reveal what is hidden to human eyes, and pretend to be something he is not. Some of these people who claim to be mediums, are merely scam artists looking to make money. However, true mediums that receive messages from the spirit world, are actually speaking with demons pretending to be loved ones.
Stay away from these people, and look to God for all your answers. Mediums are used by demons to attract individuals such as yourself, they may never have known about. Remember, that Satan only convinced one third of the angels to follow him, and angels can not be every place at one time.
When you visit these mediums, you risk revealing yourself to demons, and give them an entry door into your life. Fallen angels are nothing to play with, and if you are not protected by the Lord, you are pretty much open to their attacks and manipulation.
Stay away from psychics, mediums, astrologers, etc. There are only two forces that communicate with humans from the spirit realm. Those of God, and those of Satan.

There are a lot of fakes out there, as there are in any occupation. Just like there are priests and ministers who are not practicing what they preach.

cynical and skeptical of all of them as you say. did a Sociology class project and proved this to my Professors satisfaction - not that he needed any. answers were vague, inaccurate or could be interpreted by the reader any way they wanted.

Obviously some are counterfit and care only about the money...but others I think are possibly really the real thing. Anything is possible through God.
I have heard several operate who I have grave doubts about as I was able to quickly pick up on how they operated. *MG

They are all complete fakes, no one can see the future or talk to the dead. Why waste you're money on such nonsense?
