This is probably the third most important question one could ask, regarding the origins of things...after, "Where did God come from?" and "Where did Self come from?".

If God is the First Being to Exist, then everything that came into existence "after" Him necessarily came "from" Him. If all that exists came from God, then all that exists tells us something of God...about the Nature of God.

If the "devil" exists, what does his existence tell us about God? And what does the "devil's" existence tell us about Self, since Self was created in the Image and Likeness of God? Where did the Devil come "from", and why did God cause or allow "devil" to come forth?

Satan is a fallen angel. He chose to turn away from God and all that is good. Just as all of us have the choice to walk away from God and all he has for us. Satan was greedy and jealous. He wanted to be more powerful than God. That's why he turned

All answers are in the bible!! God the father is unbegotten while God the son is begotten of the father. Satan (Lucifer) was an archangel who was cast out of heaven for leading a revolt of the angels against god. He was cast out along with 1/3 of the angels(known as the fallen angels or demons). God gives humans including the angels free will. You choose to obey gods law or choose not to. Nobody is forced to do anything. Read Revelation 12:7-9

Most Christian religions say that the Devil was an angel named Lucifer. Lucifer wanted to set himself up as God and led a revolt with one third of the angels. The Good angels won, led by Michael and the Devil and all the angels that followed him were cast into hell. At least that is what I was told as to where he came from.

Lucifer became the devil or Satan on his own accord, God did not create him that way.

The devil came from heaven. God supposedly always existed. Self-existent means God is a necessary being who can not fail to exist. They say God created everything out of nothing so everything must have came from him. The devils existence tells us God needed evil to balance the world. I dont know why, but God contradicts the fact he is all good when evil arose all around him/her/it.

God did not create the Devil. He created the spirit being who eventually BECAME the Devil.

Illustration: The presidents mother did not give birth to the president; she gave birth to a baby who later BECAME president.

Note this from Reasoning From the Scriptures:
"All of Jehovah’s works are perfect; he is not the author of unrighteousness; so he did not create anyone wicked. (Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 5:4) The one who became Satan was originally a perfect spirit son of God. When saying that the Devil “did not stand fast in the truth,” Jesus indicated that at one time that one was “in the truth.” (John 8:44) But, as is true of all of God’s intelligent creatures, this spirit son was endowed with free will. He abused his freedom of choice, allowed feelings of self-importance to develop in his heart, began to crave worship that belonged only to God, and so enticed Adam and Eve to listen to him rather than obey God. Thus by his course of action he made himself Satan, which means “adversary.”—James 1:14, 15"

Good Statement.
I think God made the Devil, so we could make educated and wise desicions in life. This life is like a Test. The Devil is here as an obstacle...Always whispering evil into our ears..But if we are with God and put all our Faith in him the Devil can't harm us. The Devil was made to distract people and see how Strong they are and how strong their faith in God is...

The devil, or Lucifer, origanally came from Heaven. But because of his pride, God cast him out. Lucifer was an archangel in heaven. Key words in this sentence came and cast out

I have heard, that the Devil was an angel in the beginning, but he would not bow down to humans, cause he thought he was better then any body on earth since he came first, so God sent him to hell on Earth.. Good-Luck..

God knows everything (the Devils' purpose). Your choice, life or death. Kant suggested the phenomenal is a harness of the noumenal (little bit of a stretch). My question is how I rid myself of the harness? Wouldn't that be fun.
