Did she come from a breeder? If so most contracts will require she is returned back to them.
Chinese cresteds require special care, and their grooming needs are much higher than the average small breed dog.
I would highly recommend contacting a chinese crested rescue so they can find a suitable home and provide the need education to properly care for them. if you are in Ontario I may be able to help mleg2001@yahoo.com

You can place the dog yourself by going to he craigslist for your area and posting a free ad. You will get lots of emails and you can be as selective as you want in choosing a home. You know your dog better than anyone and you can s\choose the best home for it. Further this way, you will know where it is and feel better about it.
If you signed a contract with a breeder which says she has the right of first refusal, or that she takes the dogs back etc. than you should contact the breeder you bought her from. If you think a breed rescue can do better than you can you are probably only correct about 10% of the time. You are the best one to rehome your dog, not a breed rescue (especially to day with local laws cracking down on breed rescues) and NOT a shelter that doesn't even know what powder puff or hairless means.

Ontariogreys is absolutely correct, contact a breed specific rescue and see if they can take her in or help you rehome her. You do NOT want just anyone taking this little grrrl in if they do not know what they are doing. Below is a link to a rescue that is hooked up with the AKC website. The link below that is Petfinder with a search put in for "Chinese Crested" with a "National" area. Input your area and you may find a rescue closer to home through them. Good luck.
