It sounds like it might be an allergic reaction to something... could be something your skin comes into contact with (like your hand lotion if you rest your head in your hand, for example) or something you're ingesting. People develop allergies throughout their lives so, even if you haven't been allergic to anything before you may become allergic at any time.

This site has some interesting stuff you may want to look at, but you should go to a dermatologist to help you diagnose and treat your skin

Good luck, I hope it goes away soon!

You may be stressed or have some chemical issues that are createing hives. Hives can go away or stick around and lead to doctors misdiagnoiseing like crazy.

I would suggest washing your hands often and everything you end up even jokeingly brushing against your face because if anything has something your allergic to on it you may be breaking out every time it makes contact with your face but it clears up rapidly.

Dogs and Cats are good at fetching allergens and then sneaking them onto you.

Maybe start takeing notes about when they appear and when they don't appear, then later add anything you touched or touched to your face,.. or your emotional state,.. then over time maybe you will see a pattern. Otherwise Doctors can only go by what they see when they see it and act like your like that 24/7 and have an illness relateing to that instead of trusting the " they are gone in a certain ammount of time" thing you try to tell them.

HI, i don't know what they are but i can say i have had something like that before. my mom told me not to wash my face with soap i thought YUCK! but i tried it and you know what ... my face is all better and no red dots on any part of my face!
don't use soap for about a year then you can see if that helps. get a non oil face cleaner or a face mask, the kind you rub all over your face then let it dry and wash off.
I hope this works for you and if it does go and tell every body!
"good luck"

A red bump that goes away in an hour sounds like a form of hives.
See the dermatologist for causes and treatments.
