Put everything that he gave or bought you in a box and put it away where you won't be able to get to it! Call up your friends even when all they can hear is bawling....they're there for you. Like you said Ice Cream is always good..Lol....it'll be hard for a while but life goes on....another thing is find and listen to songs that have lyrics pertaining to the emotions you are feeling and your situation.

You need to keep yourself busy, but fun busy. Join a book club, or a volleyball club or volunteer at the animal shelter or nursing home or hospital. Clean your house from top to bottom, giving unwanted and unused things to Good Will, etc. You can go to the spa to treat yourself. Take a few day trips! Have fun and you will forget all about him (not to mention the perks that you may make new friends and possible find a new beau in the process!). Good luck and God Bless.

Well first off have a good cry, and after that tell yourself that you're not going to cry over him anymore. Going out is good, but not to clubs, because most people only go to clubs to pick up men/women, and after a fresh break up you don't need a rebound. Try taking up a hobby or something you've been interested in but never had the time to do because you wanted to spend time with your ex. Eventually it does hurt less, but just try to keep yourself busy and have fun, enjoy life. It is way to short to worry about some loser anyway.

Really the only thing you can do is just stay busy, keep your mind occupied with other things. Not to mention getting rid of anything that will remind you of him. And just plain move on in life and just take the attitude that it wasn't meant to be. There is obviously bigger and better things awaiting you.

The only real answer is Time. Sorry, but there just isn't a magic pill or word for it. Just give it time.

Every time you think of him you need to do something productive for yourself and put him out of your mind.
