Jesus is not God. He is God's Son. Some in this column say Jesus did not know the "day and hour" because he was limited as a human. If that is the case, what about the holy spirit, which they also say is equal to the Father? It has never been human. Why doesn't it know the "day and the hour" either?
People who believe in the trinity are totally confused.

Jesus is NOT God. Mark 13:32 says it as plain as day. Jesus is the Son of God. The entire Bible backs this up. Why are people still confused about this? The word Trinity is never written in the Bible. It was invented by the apostate catholic church at the council of Nicea in the second century so that the trinity-worshipping pagans would be more comfortable with "christianity." just like christmas, easter, idol worship, immortality of the soul, and all the other false beliefs and customs that they let in to make it more popular. God is God and a separate person from Jesus his Son. God never had a beginning. Jesus was created by God. The holy spirit is not a person, so how can there be a Trinity? The holy spirit is God's active force, and what he gives to us when we need help and what he uses to accomplish things, like creation. Not a person. The Bible mentions in a lot of places that the holy spirit was poured out. How can it be a person? Jesus never claimed to be equal to God or even worse, to be God. He always directed worship to his Father and never allowed anyone to worship him. God IS unchanging and he cannot die. He resurrected Jesus. If Jesus had been God, he couldn't have died or been around to resurrect himself. and if he hadn't really died, we are missing the whole point of a ransom sacrifice, now aren't we? Jesus died all the way. God resurrected him. Simple. People try to complicate the things the Bible says and they end up missing the basic truths and facts. Hmmm. Who do you think would want that? Satan maybe? So who is behind religions that teach these complications and twisted doctrines?

Jesus is not God. He is the Son of God. When the idea of the holy trinity came about, it was decided by the Roman Catholics of the time that the three were actually one--thus Jesus and God became one in the same.
However, the trinity is no such thing. It is three heavenly divinities that serve one purpose. The Father rules over all, the Son took on the sins of the world by being born and sacrificed, and the Holy Spirit helps to serve as a sort of consciousness for those of us here on earth.

Because while on earth Jesus was a MAN.....here to experience the life and trials of MAN..........not God as man......therefore going thru tempation, death, etc. Some people need to stop thinking that while Jesus was here that he was like a superman or something. If that were the case then there would NEVER be a way for man to be CHRISTLIKE. But knowing that he was a MAN while here gives us hope. So as a man he was limited to what we as man can and cannot do...........if that werent the case he wouldnt have been able to die.......or try this on for size. I believe in the ONESS of God......I am a father to my children, son to my father, husband to my wife. In your thinking I SHOULD have known as a child what I WOULD be as a husband. Or I should have known as a husband the future of my children, etc. Everything has its palce in its time. As a man, Jesus acted as a man.......NOT as God!!!!

Wow. It has been a whole hour since this one was asked....
During the time of his earthly ministry (when this statement was made) Jesus had for a time set aside his position of deity and was operating as a human being. The only things he had available to him at that time were the same things every human has - prayer, faith, and the Holy Spirit. During that time his knoweldge was limited.
How that he has resurrected and returned to his position as God, he no longer has those limitations. It is explained in Philippians 2:5-11.

It has to do with the duality of the Nature of Jesus. As God, He knows everything. But as a man, He is (was, actually) limited to what could be contained in His human form.
I suspect He knows exactly when that day will arrive now!

Because Jesus is God the Son, it would only make sense that God the father has more knowledge then the son.

I think its complicated if you don't understand what trinity is, which it would be: Father, Son, Holy spirit = the same [thinking, acting, etc]
What he was trying to say [i think] is that nobody knows the time, but God himself.
Besides, I think the tritiny is just a role thing.
Jesus = salvation for us.
God = Father
Holy spirit = Light that guides us
Angels = Guardians, and other functions in heaven.
everybody has their own thing to do.

"I do not proffess on my own, but only what the father has taught me."
" And these things happend to Jesus so that you will know He is not here on his own power, but does the will of the father that sent him"
Jesus did not know anything as a man, but God has shown him those things which were necessary.
Jesus would not have fixed the wrong things for "Do not straighten what the lord your God hath made crooked."

While Jesus was human, He had all the abilities that God had except being omnipotent. Now that He's standing or sitting -- I can't remember which one -- at the right hand of God, He has all of God's divine powers.
