For those who saw this special: There were several reinactments of supposed events in Jesus' life. Simcha Jacobovici stated in an interview that he wanted him to look as close to reality as possible. However, is this correct? The actor, to me, appeared to be a modern Jew, like what one might see in an American Temple. He appeared somewhat caucasian looking. Also, he was depicted wearing a kippa, but wasn't this a later addition in Judaism?

The special was aired on Sunday night on Discovery Channel. Check your local listings, I thought everyone had heard of this news!

I heard he had short dark brown hair, brown eyes and was unimpressive. Anne Rice converted to Cathoicism and has a book out called 'Jesus Christ, the Lord'...or something like that. There's a picture on the cover and I think it was one of the first ever done. There's nothihng reliable written about him and there are no pictures of him, other than what was imagined, after the fact.
There could have been a mixture of races along the way, but no one knows definitely what JC looked like. I think there's a verse in the NT that says something about his being plain looking. I haven't seen the special myself but I saw a brief story about it on the news but it didn't show any clips of the movie.

properly it truly is accessible, yet they did not do truly some the stuff that they ought to of. they can make it a slam dunk, or coach it no longer truly him. the completed case is in line with some rather common names from that aspect. in the journey that they matched each and each of the relationships and they actually matched as a lot because the Bible, it truly is a rather particular issue. yet they did not, so it truly is interesting yet no longer a good case.

"we shall be like him: for we shall see him as he is." taken from 1 John 3:2 The people who knew what Jesus looked like have passed on and we probably won't know what he looked like until we make it to Heaven.
