I am 4"10, and only 51 pounds, I don't get why I'm so skinny, I eat normally (1,800 calories a day)and I only exercise twice a week, for an hour.
Everyone tells me I am so skinny, but I am short, people always ask me if I am anorexic, and its so annoying.
Is this unhealthy? I really don't want to gain or lose weight, but is it okay, or is it unhealthy?

Ok I just read some of your other question from weeks ago and you said you are anorexic/bulumic. You said you are disgusted by food, never eat, and throw up when you do. You used to be like 70 lbs. Which was still underweight. I've kind got a story to tell you. There was another girl on here like you, and she started out at about 100 lbs and in about 3 months she got down to like 40-60 lbs and DIED!!! We kept watching her questions, and with each one she got skinner until one day someone posted another question by her and it wasn't her, it was her sister saying that she died. They had no idea that she had a disorder *AND SHE DIED* You really can die from doing this to yourself. So please, get help, from a phsyciatrist, doctor etc. They will help you, you will realize you are not fat. Becuase you aren't. I have seen your pictures. So please, please get help, become healthier. We don't want to see someone else die :(

Please, please, please, take my answer into consideration!!!


Also, the reason you don't have a period or breasts is becuase you're too skinny. If you get back up to a healthier weight like 80 lbs then you will get your period and breasts most likely.

By the way, I'm just like you, I know how you feel, I kind of have the same problem as you, I'm the same age too! but I'm not starving myself or throwing up, and I'm trying VERY hard not to fall into that trap, becuase I have before, I stopped eating very much for a few weeks. But I'm trying not to, I know its not healthy.

You are only about 1/2 the normal body weight for someone your height and age, that is a concern. There can be a multitude of reasons that you are so thin and unable to gain any weight. 1,800 calories a day is probably on the low side for someone in your age group. Your metabolism is most likely burning that up easy. You need to consult with your doctor and have your doc give you a physical and a calorie intake that will work for you. Yes, being that much under weight can be very unhealthy, not to mention you may not be developing bone, muscle and other things at the rate you should due to lack of nutrients.

Ok people let's be real and serious...on average the 5 foot female person weighs what? 90-110 pounds. Say they are naturally light then ok....lets say 80 pounds.... sure she is 4'10" , but thing is she is 51 pounds and that is very underweight. I will take into consideration that she is 15 and her body can throw a curveball when she gets older. Maybe it is hardcore genetics.

Ok, here is what you should do. Go to a doctor and let him tell you if you are healthy or not. Hopefully he will go into detail with you and see if you don't have some sort of genetic deficiency, disorder or something. Check with a doc and if he says you're ok, then everything everyone has told you and that I have said you can completely shut out and tellem to F off =)

To me, it sounds too thin, but your best bet is to see your family doctor. IF you are maintaining the weight, and having not been losing any, it might just be your body make-up.

However, I have an 8 year old son who is average height and he is 63 lbs! Not an ounce of fat on him.

From a few searches I did on the net, you should be closer to 100 lbs., imo, but again - seek advice from your doctor and make sure nothing else is going on. If you haven't had your adolescent 'growth spurt', it might explain things. You may just be a late bloomer. Have you had your period yet? Matured physically? (i.e., developed breasts, body hair, etc.)

Just continue to eat healthy, see your doctor, and go from there.

As long as you are being honest about how much you eat, eating healthy, excercising a healthy amount, and not binging or throwing up what you do eat, then you are most likely fine. it's always a good idea, to have a check up with a doctor and be honest with her or him about your diet and excercise, they can give you a physical and let you know if you are within a healthy range.

Some people are just skinny, but you should try to build some more muscle. Do weights. They will help you gain muscle. Eat more protien too.

maybe but if ur naturally skin then its ok, my sister in law has 2 kids and is 25 and is only 5 feet and still weights 92 lbs so I think ur not that off

I don't think it is really unHEALTHY but... it is very crazy. You are dramatically underweight. Try eating more.... or going to a doctor.

I'm sure it DOES annoy you when they ask if you're anorexic... but you definately (obviously) look like it...
