My boyfriend uses Rose Art products in his classroom and other cheaper brands. They work just as well as Crayola.

Make your own, I guess. I agree, I used to love art, but when I got to college I saw the real money was in selling the supplies, not the artwork itself.
ie, brushes used to be made with horse hair, and artists used to be forced to create their own paints...wonder if there are recipies online??

the dollar store has paints, as well as any craft store...try Micheals..they had great things and they are rather cheap as well

grpahic is easier and cheaper than that
you need just paper and carbon.
