It's unusual for children that young to get psoriasis, but if they do get it young it generally shows up on the scalp, and you might notice that it began a few weeks after some sort of throat infection (sometimes the only sign of that in a toddler is that they do excessive dribble for a while). Does it look like a build-up of scales that would have washed off but they just got stuck in the hair? You can get a coconut oil preparation or a c. oil and coal tar preparation on prescription; it helps a little. Unless there are other health problems, like food intolerances, psoriasis usually clears up spontaneously.

It could be dandruff, but as she is young I wouldn't reccomend Head & Shoulders as it's really strong and can damage your scalp. See if you can find some good products for younger children.
Sometimes my sister doesn't rinse hair hair properly after using shampoo, and she also gets white flakes. Next time she has a bath make sure her hair is properly rinsed.
Good luck! xxx

Hi there,
If you have ever suffered with psoriasis you know the struggles of searching out relief. There are pricy over-the-counter products or prescription medications that may offer temporary relief. There are also quite a few natural cures for dealing with psoriasis.
You can find many interesting tips on this site http://psoriasis.toptips.org
Have a nice day

Try using an anti dandruff shampoo and then an intensive conditioner, run the comb through whilst the conditioner is still in the hair. Failing that I have no idea what it is or how to get it out.

The child is way too young for dandruff. You have to see a doctor, it might be some disease of the scalp (although this does not exclude lice)

are you sure its not eggs? I hate those. you should put olive oil in hair and then use the nit comb and bobbie pins to comb out little flakes. Then wash and style as usual good luck

you need to take her to a doctor. if they don't come of the shaft its a possibility it's lice, but if it can come off or it's on the scalp it could be cradle cap or dandruff or something more series/not life threatening.

Well, it could be dandruff. Try the shampoo head and shoulders. It's a great shampoo and it could definatly get rid of her dandruff (if she has dandruff). Good luck!

Wash her hair with Baby shampoo, because it doesn't have all the extra chemicals an adult shampoo has. it's good for hair and cleans very great
