Remember he can do anything. He DOESN'T NEED evil as a tool. He must want it to exist for it's own sake. The only conclusions are that God is evil or that he does not exist.

So you're basicly answering you own question, right?

My opinion? : I think God doesn't need evil, if you believe in the bible/Q'aran, or something close to that, you should read it, it states that He will destroy all evil, and there is when the "Apocalypsis" comes foreward.

Maybe people wonder, why if God is all powerful, doesn't just destroy all evil.
I have a couple of theories.
1- Evil = Satan, Satan = angel, Destroying angel because he opposes Him would be like destroying it for fear of what others might think.

2- Also, as an act of mercy he let him live, and gave him time, after which he will destroy if he didn't change, which obviously he won't.

3- If God had to destroy every single human being that represents evil...we'll all be probably dead by now, but he is merciful.

If you don't believe in God, then this answer might not mean anything to you, and I respect that.
But if you do believe, then tell me if you agree with me :)

Hopefully you have taken some science in school. If you have then you will know that "cold" does not exist. There is no particle or ray that causes "cold". Rather it is the absence of "heat", which does exist.

"Dark" does not exist. There is no dark particle or wave. Nothing puts out darkness. Rather it is an absence of "light", which does exist.

The same is true of "evil". It does not exist on its own. Nothing in and of itself is "evil". Rather "evil" is the absence of "good". There are things that are "good", such as love.

God made everything that exist. If you re-read Genesis 1, you will see that everything he made was "good". "Evil" is only the absence, rejection, or blocking of "good". It does not exist on its own, and so was not created by God.

Relax. God is good; evil is just His version of a form of entertainment. Everybody needs a little down-time...

Opposition is needed in all things and God so ordained it. If we don't taste the bitter we won't appreciate the sweet. God's great gift of free agency would be nothing without the tests and trials to undergo in life.

God doesn't NEED evil, he allows it. It is free will, the same reason why the "original sin" took place. God gave Adam and Eve the ability to act according to His will or to act as THEY willed; they chose the latter.

God absolutely needs evil. Without it he couldn't appear Good.

God uses evil to show his power to humans by delivering them from it or the consequences.
