it would be a great idea to print a few "test" pages first.
you don't want to waste and invitation for a "tester".
some packages even give you test sheets of the same size just for the purpose.

You can do it for a test run to see how it will look but remember if you are using the fancy invitations that that is thicker than the regular paper so be careful!!! I would just print one on the real thing to test it before I sent a lot through the printer.

for what reason. IF you are going to print them on plain paper just do it and send them out. If not go get some made up you can get some made for a cheap price if you take time to look around Good Luck

You can, if you mean just to practice before doing the real deal then I don't see why not. If you need invitation paper and envelpes, I found this really inexpensive website. envelopemall.com. I ordered my cardstock and envelopes, they're really good quality and prices are very decent.

I would highly recommend this. As a graphic designer, I often do this for clients so they can get the full impact. But I usually use old typing paper with watermarks so it can't be duplicated somewhere else.

sure!! if you want to use normal printer pape, they make some that is slightly better quality, and a little sturdier, if you so choose. and if you're only doing test invites on plain paper, it'd be fine! in fact, i'd reccommend you do that!

If you have Microsoft word or something like that they usually have templates where you can add borders and stuff to the invitations unless you're just trying to see how you want to word it or how it will look.

I suggest going to wal-mart or somewhere that has decorated paper. It is cheap and you can add whatever info you want. But it gives a personal touch. They even have envelopes to match.
