he compliments me a lot,
he pays extra attention to the things i wear,
tells me i look good and have a good dress sense,
talks to his friends (outside of work) about me (he evn told his best friend to dress like me becos i have a gud dress sense),
he gives me chocolates for no reason,
bought me jewellery for my bday,
offered me his jacket few times whn i was cold,
and the other day he was going to show me something cool online and goes to me "u might wanna date me after this" .

pheeeew, long list i know

but what do you think? does he fancy me?

and no hell no am i going out with him, soooo not my type!!!! besides work place relationships can be dangerous, i knw that much!!! so how do i get him to stop because it makes me feel awkward while am around him and it feels wierd at work!

It sounds like he does have a thing for you. First of all I wouldn't take any more gifts off him, if you have a boy friend talk about him a lot, and if you don't have a boyfriend it might be an idea to invent one hopefully this would put him of a bit.

You could always start a discussion about how inappropriate it is for senior members of staff to hit on employees. Hope this helps good luck

okay...you don't like him then don't.
He's paying a lot of attention to u...so why not use it a bit.
You have an opportunity not to work much and make new contacts..through your boss ofcourse..use the extra time n opportunity just to boost up your skill ...maybe an year or so...don't get sexual....he may stop hittin on you....but then charm him again flirtatiously..n have a roll of your time...have your share of fun ,precious gifts, luncheons, contacts and most important...experience to handel men.

whatever b your field of work...if you follow this regime...you might even try a career in public relations n resource management.

Its a win win advice

you act like a virtuous lady...tell him u don't like him...mayb he'll try more....and then he'll make your workplace quite miserable.Either ways..if you don't like him...you will have to move on..UP or DOWN your chioce

Afterall He's the BOSS

This is really not professional, he seems to forget his boudries, but you can remind him, but remembering to have bouhdries when ever he crosses it, i do understand that you want your job, but you could choose to say that you stopped eating choclates because of health reasons, or weight management, if he offers you something just say thank you and avoid it but giving a reason. Keep a distance by talking only business. As much as possible tell yourself that you will do everything that deals only with the job and nothig more. This way he will learn to understand your boundries and in the couse of time understand your own boundries.
good luck!

Yes I know by past experience he does fancy you and I know how horrible it feels especially if you don't like him in that way. Just explain to him that you like him as a friend but don't feel it's fair on your work colleagues that he spends so much time and attention on you. If he becomes awkward to work with then you may have to go down the sexual harassment route.

Er, hello? You are being charmed by this man and you want to know if he's hitting on you?
HE sounds very nice, but if you really don't fancy him, you need to put him straight. Right now. Tell him you have a boyfriend. Tell him work relationships are a no-no for you. Tell him anything, but put him straight.

I think your last few sentences might help. Say firmly:

You always are so gracious with your compliments, however I feel weird since we work together and you know how awkward things could get. That's why I would never date anyone I work with.

He will get the message loud and clear.

Maybe you should just tell him that you appreciate the nice things he's done for you, but his advances toward you creep you out, and you see him as more of a friend and co worker than anything else

hey x
dont worry sweetie, its easy to keep him in line, if he ever does this again come up with a reason not to accept, for eg;
if he gives you chocolates, just tell him your not eating chocs anymore, it lent and you gave it up...

or if he tells you you are looking good today, i like your top, just say something like, "thanks, my boyfriend gave it to me for our annerversary.." then look at your top and smile as if to say you are thinking of your boyfriend and walk away or continue what you are doing,

eventually he will get it that you aint into him, you deserve better than some guy geting his kicks out of subjecting a female employee, let me know how it goes x x
