i wondered if when you take a drug test, do they narrow it down to specific prescription pill or just the fact that you have prescription pill in you system.

They're both benzodiazepines. That's all it would show. If you have a prescription for either, it's no problem but don't start lying about it. If you can't prove it, you fail.

Klonopin and valium are two different meds though they are both tranquilizers. Sometimes the drug testing picks up the klonopin and other times they don't. Some drug tests are valium specific, others are not.

If you are on probation due to a job, DUI, or being a parole, the chances of the drug test being non specific are great. Drug testers are looking for drugs in your system and so if you are taking klonopin, you better get a note from the doc.

Valium and Klonopin are in a class called benzodiazepines.

If you have a prescription FOR this medication, then you're fine. Unless you are not supposed to be on them. Then they (whoever is testing you for drugs) will send your blood/urine to a lab and it WILL show up in their test.

If you're taking either drug legally, a prescription bottle will eliminate any misunderstandings. If you don't you are escrewed!
