Dance (Maybe some kind of fun group dance where you get to know people like a timer goes off every minute or two and you change partners, or the chicken dance, or something), maybe see some pictures displayed of the couple through their relationship, be able to have a place where I could leave written wishes for the bride and groom (a notebook for that purpose maybe?), take pictures (disposable cameras on the tables?), have the opportunity to make toasts.

Eat, drink, sit there watching people, dance, talk to people, meet the bride/groom's family and friends. I think that's what a wedding reception (or any type of party/reception) is all about. I don't expect games or activities. I'm there for the bridal couple and the party.

I invented a game called "Purse and Wallet Scavenger Hunt". You pick people out and give them a list of things that might be in people's purses and wallets. Then they have to go around asking people for things. Just try to keep it rated "G" for the kiddies (no condoms please).
The list consisted of odds and ends like needles, tweezers, nail clippers, toothpicks, etc.

If there are going to be kids, you might want a 'kids table'. Fill it with crayons and legos.....If they're not drinking they might as well do something fun.
