ccrazeegyrl - I think you're thinking of Rikki Tikki-Tavi by Rudyard Kipling. That was in the Jungle Book.

Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako was a brother to Sam. Sam and Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako were playing in the garden when suddenly Sam fell in the Well. Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako ran to his mother and says

‘Sam has fallen in the well.

‘What?’ she cries ‘Sam in the well, go tell your father’ so he does.

‘Father, Sam has fallen in the well,’

‘O dear’ says his dad, ‘we had best get the gardener to get the ladder and get Sam out of the well’, so they did and Sam was very happy and a bit wet.

A few days later the boys were playing again in the garden but this time as they played

‘What!, she cries, ‘Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako has fallen in the well, we had better tell your father’ so Sam did.

‘Daddy, Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako has fallen in the well’.

‘What!’ says Sams father, ‘Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako has fallen in the water, we had better call the gardener to get the ladder’, so Sam did.

‘Mr. Gardener, please can you help Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako has fallen in the well’ said Sam

‘What!, says the gardener, ‘Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako is in the well I had better bring the ladder’, and so he did.

After so long down the well, Ticky Ticky Tembo No Sarimbo Hari Kari Bushkie Perry Pem Do Hai Kai Pom Pom Nicky No Meeno Dom Barako was very nearly drowned, but the Gardener rescued him and he soon got better............

And so it is that from this day since the people of China have always used short names. It is safer.

I learned it as "ticky ticky tembo no so rembo u ma muchi gama gama guchi." There is a children's story of this rhyme that is writen by Arlen Mosel called Ricky Ticky Tembo.

that was his name. all of his name. didn't he fall down a well or sumthin and some1 went to tell some1 and kept sending that person to tell some1 else?? and the morrol of this story is not to name ur child with long names.
