My tattoo is a heart with a ribbon going across with my soon to be exhusbands name on it, it is just the outline, I never got it filled in.

yes your can get it covered up . you have 2 options
1.) get it lazer removed
2.) most tattoo shops now have a nude color ink. but call around to local shops to find out if they do have it. i know my friends shop in cali does them.

that tattoo should be able to be covered with no problem. but not any tattoo will cover another. the best thing you can do is go to a tattoo artist who is experienced at doing coverup tattoos and have them work out something that you like but that will also completely cover the old tattoo. it's good that you never got it filled in because that could make it more difficult to cover. good luck!

well i actually once had a name written in black it was pretty small and i coveredit with a larger color tattoo. it was detailed heavily in black and u really cant see it anymore. i know where it is so i can, but u have to go to someone who has experience and is very good. the girl who did mine was excellent! u would never think it could be done since black is the darkest but it turned out nice. ask around fine a really good artist.

Since black is the darkest color, unless you fill it in with black, I don't think you can cover it up because it will not show. You can opt for laser surgery to remove it, but that's only if you really really want to get rid of it.
