If you met your true love, but your culture disapproves of seeing your true love or any sort of relationship with that person..what would you do?! WOuld you risk it all and leave your culture to be with that person to have a life of happiness or stay in that culture and take it as fate and live a miserable life??
help please! what would you do? Im not a lil girl or anything..im 18 so yep..tell me what you would do and how you would feel...

i would say that you can never replace family, even if they are controlling. Its time to leave when they are forcing you to do things you dont wana do, or preventing you from doing the things you love, the love of your family is important but if the only way for you to be happy is to go against them then they will heal in time! Its amazing when you meet your true love, i know that you will lead a happy love filled life with him!!

Thank God my culture isn't TOTALLY xenophobic like your family's culture. Even though we're known for hating foreigners here in the U.S., we can still love whom we want.
If you're 18 I'd say be careful about being sure about "true love", but you'd never listen to me anyway.
What is certain is that your family is out of place by telling you whom you may and may not see.
It's not about him; it's about you. What kind of person do you want to be? After he is gone, how do you want to have lived your life.

Yea there are other fish in the sea, but if you really love someone u feel u want 2 b with then u shuld encourage them that they should trust wat ur doing... now if they dont then u can still b with the one u love and be apart of your culture, or let them accept the fact your gunna be together whether or not they like it.
But im not saying break up with him, bcuz u may not find another like him
