Congratulations! You made a very wise choice when you decided to have your dog spayed. She will enjoy better health and live a longer life (eg. unspayed dogs have a very high risk of developing breast cancer and life-threatening uterine infections). You also demonstrated that you are a responsible pet owner by choosing not to add to the epidemic of pet overpopulation. (Just take a trip to the local shelter or Humane Society if you don't think it exists.) The drugs given to your dog are designed to make her sleepy but will soon wear off as her body breaks them down. She may look sad, but she's fine and will be back to her old self in no time at all! (If you think she's painful, ask your veterinarian for some pain medicine, which may also make her sleepy.) Don't second-guess one of the most important decisions in your dog's life. You did the right thing :)

100% for it. It not only prevents pregnancy but certain types of cancers. Also, a female dog in heat can be attacked by male dogs! She will feel better soon. It is natural to be sleepy and look sad after being sedated! Good move by you to have her spayed!!!!

I've never had a female cat, but my male cat was like that the first day..it takes a while for the drugs to wear off. She should be fine and back to her normal self by tomorrow. I just got my dog done and the next day he was even more hyper than before.

Your not going to hear anything that will make you feel better from me. I am to honest for that.
If your girl was over 14 months to 2 years than spaying her was okay, if not you should have waited. There are many things that are not so great that can occur with dogs spayed to young.
Further there is no real pet overpopulation we spay and neuter for our convenience as humans not for dog health

Spaying your dog was a good choice. She is sleepy and sad because of the pain medication. Since it is a complete hysterectomy, she needs the pain meds, so that's a good thing. Give her a couple days and she will be perkier.

It is not only the best thing for their health but their happiness as well. It also prevents accidents/unwanted pregancies. As far as the males go it is 100 times healthier for them, especially on the attitude area. They recover quickly and never even notice. I am not a breeder so it is the best thing I can do for them.

You have done the right thing. Unless you have a show dog that will be breed then spaing is the best thing you can do. And your dog will feel better soon.

She's just feleling ouchy. I don't know if you've ever had surgery, but even with painkillers you feel like crap for a few days afterward.
