I am not for this war by any means, but do you really believe that after all the poor people of Iraq has endured we should abandon them?
I don't, nor do my family members currently serving. I can't stand Bush. I have been voting for about thirty years, and I have yet to see a commander and chief so against his own people.
However, my dislike for the president, and his actions is not pertinent when it comes to the Iraq war, but the citizens of Iraq however are of great importance. I have friends in Chicago that are Iraqi immigrants, and they are very good people. All of them are hoping that we will not abandon Iraq and let it fall prey to the religious, corrupt sectarian violence that plagues Iraq's borders.
I do agree that the president should be tried for war crimes, and crimes against the American people, but I do not believe in Abandoning a war we gave the president the power to go into.
I personally do believe that before we invaded Iraq, they did have WMDs, and the five to six months before the invasion while Mr. Bush argued with the UN the Iraqi borders flurished with activity, and that is why we found nothing.
We should not bring our soldiers home, we Americans need to set an example of how a government under the people works for the people, by ensuring that when our soldiers come home, they still have a free country to come home to.
You know, lead by example.
In order for the Iraqi people to find the courage to stand up against the terror they face, they must see how it is done from the very people that invaded their homeland.
Impeaching the president wont change anything, but the American people on the other hand can change everything if they so choose.
In reading the other posts I can see that you are taking a pretty good bashing yourself, but instead of being insulted, you should be grateful you have the right to your opinion, and grateful to the soldier that fought, bled, and died so you can have that opinion, no matter how unpopular.
That is one of the cherished freedoms of being an American.

What a great service Bush has done to Iraqi people? It is sad you don't see it. Support your president so that all together the problem in Iraq can be quickly resolved. It is the indecisiveness of the American people that cause the war to be prolonged. If all the request of Bush is granted, more US soldiers will be there to man the trouble spots. The trouble makers will surely get scare and run and the war will be won. If Bush is impeached successfully, say, the US pulls out, the terrorists will surely go for those who are now trying to bring order to the country. Or there will be chaos or anarchy, and everyone will have a free day. Either you kill me or I destroy you. A country degenerated into an animal kingdom. Who can save them if the US pulls out.

You and all the other mindless drones can protest until the cows come home for all the good it will do. The State of Vermont can enlist every single town and their snotty resolutions it wants, it won't do any good! Only Congress/Senate can start impeachment proceedings.
Too bad we Americans can't bring you to "justice" for being a stupid idiot!

If you are even out of school, go back and take a civics class. Bush has done nothing to be impeached for. Everything he has done is within his authority as Commander-In-Chief. Which, by the way, was supported by all your "hero's" after 9/11. Grow up

Wow, the whole state of Vermont has filed impeachment resolutions? I'm impressed. One out of fifty two states, impressive. You do realize that just because the president gets impeached doesn't mean he has to leave office? You realize this right? Clinton got impeached, but he never left office. You should think about this before you waste time that could be spent doing something productive like working or going to school.

Good luck with that as Bush has done nothing illegal.
If you still want to impeach him - you also will have charge all the dems that voted for war (including hillary).
PS - why don't you find out what the troops *want*? The vast majority do NOT want to leave Iraq unfinished.

It is not spreading like wildfire, states have been trying to do this for almost 2 years now, they will not succeede. Impeaching bush leaves Chenney in power which is even worse for your liberal movement. If you supported us the troops you would stop trying to destroy ur commander in chief and embolder the terrorists. We do not want to come home because the enemy will only get stronger and we will have to go back, its bes tto fight them while they are weak.

are you able to think of of a greater effective reason than saving American infantrymen lives, if it weren't for the anti-conflict flow we'd nonetheless be in Vietnam. they are accessible doing the corporation of patriots, a real patriot by no potential stops questioning their government and demands accountability whilst our infantrymen are in harm's way.

These kind of "Peace Events" are the kind of mindless droning that this country DOES NOT NEED ANYMORE!!!
If you support the troops, as you say, you will stop showing them that you really don't.
These men and women in harm's way are IN harm's way so you can spend your days, nights and weekends protesting what they are doing!!!
You should have more respect for the country and the service men and woman!
I say you should try these protest in Iraq!!!
