whats up with everyone having koi tattoos? what do they mean? i think i have heard they mean good luck is taht true and any other emanings oh and does anyone have a pic of one?

koi tattoos have different meanings to different people but in the asian culture the koi swims upstream and up a waterfall (like trout do) and when they reach the top of the waterfall legend says that they turn into a dragon. so it's kindof a "struggle of life and the reward at the end" thing.

They're lucky in Japan. Many Japanese got them after the birth of the emperor's son.
I'm thinking of getting one myself in the future because Jap tattoos are awesome.

they mean luck and some belive it also means protection. i want to get one on my leg with my kids names in the waves of the water.
