are there any ways I can open up ? im open with my friends but quiet around those I dont know...sometimes i get intimidated and cant open up to a complete stranger...is this bad? my shyness is not that extreme though...will it grow out s0me day ??

Definitely, if you really want to change this. I 've been trying to work on it too, it 's a bad thing and I 'm sick of being intimidated.
Believe in yourself and show your cool side to the others, then you'll see it 's not that hard to be out -going, just try not to over do with it, cuz it will confuse people. Don't be a hypocrite, be yourself. :)

I actually like shy girls, but the problem is Im shy also so theres a problem! Being shy isnt a problem, but one way to get comfortable a little more is just saying hi when someone makes eye contact with you, and after a while a conversation will insue.

no its not bad i was quiet one especially around a boy friend or some one i liked and i have this one bf because i was quiet and did not say much he always said sorry because he was thinking that he was pissing me off and now some times people say i am to loud dont worry about it ok gd luck x

yea it will grow out, that is it if u start talking to people more. the more people u interact with the less shy u will become. u will become use to it n comfortable after a while
