No, because you can't be really deeply in love with someone until you've gone out with them and gotten to know them. This is how you determine your feelings. You may have thought you were in love before but you weren't, just infatuated. If it was real love it wouldn't turn off that quickly because of a child or another secret. This is why we date people first to determine our feelings before moving ahead. If they aren't the person for you then you can move on.

Well alot of times we all find out that the man/woman we were in love with wasn't who we thought they were 5 years later. I say that the whole first year of the relationship is kind of a show, with lots of emotions. If a person kept a major secret from me for that long though, I wouldn't want to be with them, especially if it was about a child they had. Why would they keep that kind of secret knowing that truly loving someone means loving everything about them. Maybe not liking everything about them, but loving them unconditionally.

no so far no deep dark secrets have been revealed. what are secrets actually? they are memories of experiences mostly.
a child of course is something that you can actually see and touch. if the person is married isnt actually a memory..but something that matters legally, morally. if theyre currently cheating on you or things like that are current events and detrimental to the relationship. someone who might hide a rage or drug addiction or something that could affect you or the relationship on a daily basis should be revealed. if it has marked relavence to the other person ...they might want you to write a bio or resume. peace

People should be honest in the opening of the relationship. Ask them to be open and honest about EVERYTHING. Dark secrets can really change a person.

No...it takes a while for love to build and I've never dated anyone that I've already fallen in love with, before we began dating.
However, one can be with someone for years and then find out things about them that are potentially huge issues. Just goes to prove that although we should always try to get to know someone as best as we can before committing ourselves emotionally, that sometimes you can never really know someone.
