Yes, colors do affect your mood. Bright sunny colors can help to keep you up-beat, while dark, gloomy colors can really help to cause depression. Home stylists say that if your bathroom is blue, you will actually start off your day less happy than you would have, if your bathroom was pink or white, or yellow. Some colors will actually make you feel uncomfortable. Have you ever tried on clothing that was nice, but, it just 'hit' you wrong? Were the colors just so wrong for your personality that the colors actually made you uncomfortable? Many psychologists agree that MOST men are uncomfortable in orange surroundings. I know that my personality is affected A LOT when I wear colors that seem to 'scrape against' my favorite colors. Normally, I find that women are more prone to liking to wear either earth tones or jewel tones. I wear jewel tones. When I am in earth tones, I don't feel happy at all. Put me back into jewel tones, and I can be a happier person, almost instantly. The idea of having my bedroom in earth tones just makes me cringe. I want to relax in my bedroom, and so, the colors have to work with my personality.
