It is very unlikely that a gator would eat your dog due to the loud noises. Aliigators have sensitive hearing and usually stay away from loud areas. Though just to be safe keep an eye on your dog constantly, becuase he could run away or even drown in the lake, and not be affected by an alligator at all. I hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy the cookout.

As for the alligator in the dog park, once it gets big enough, it is going to eat a dog. That’s almost a certainty. A dog may be a pet to us, but to a large predator like an alligator it is just another food item. In fact, some of the so-called attacks on people are the result of an alligator’s attacking a dog as food and a human’s not getting out of the way. Meanwhile, alligators are part of our native southeastern ecosystems and should be accepted as such. But some common sense cautions apply: do not let children or dogs near the water around big alligators; do not feed alligators (feeding them is illegal and is often the original reason for their interest in people); and do not pick up alligator babies, which begin to appear in late summer or fall.

Well... personally I wouldn't take the dog to the cookout. Where are you, there may be no alligators though. Well if you know for sure there are alligators anf you have to take your dog you should keep it in it's cage, keep it in a play pin, keep it tied to a tree AWAY from the lake, and always keep and eye on your dog.

Could be likely your dog will be eaten. Alligators are known for eating some humans.
Put your dog on a leash away from gators
or
just keep a constant eye on your dog.

No and the smell of people and food will attract alligators. Keep your dog home where he will be safe.

Keep your dog on a long leash and away from the water. Probably you don't have to worry but better safe than sorry.

Depends, where is the lake? If the lake is in Montana- then No, there is nothing to worry about.
