I live 10 miles from Canada and when I visit I feel shame because of Bush and the failure of Iraq. ( Four years of fighting a rag tag force and getting nowhere) As I walk in Canada I hang my head in shame as I say "I'm so sorry for what my country is doing".

Shameful not, it has been my experience when I have gone to Canada that they are a warm caring people. They understand it is the corrupt leadership and the morons that voted for him that are the problem not you. You made me want a molson.

Why do you hang your head in shame?

Because you are obviously ignorant of the noble parts of your national heritage and have bought into the leftist ideology that America is fatally flawed because of genocide and slavery and globilization exploitation. So if you believe that's what America is all about and ignore all other virtues , then you would be right to be ashamed.

I'm not. I'm proud to be a part of the greatest , most moble country and scoeity the world has ever seen.

Grade on the curve with other great, powerful countries. We stack up as the most compassionate and noblest.

It's okay don't worry, Canadians are a very forgiving ans accepting bunch. We just dislike the Americans who cross the boarder, and make a ruckus, litter and generally show no respect for our nation.

But with regards to your government we understand that there is little you can do outside of show up and vote, sometimes it doesn't go your way, however it would be unfair of us to hold you accountable for the errs of your government.

As a Canadian let me assure you that we do not hold every American responsible for the stupidity of George W. Bush. Our own experience with democracy has clearly demonstrated that we have a majority of fools north of 49 as well.

Still, it is a lowering thought that the United States of America dodged the two wars that really counted until they could no longer hide (1914-1918 and 1939-1945) but have embarked on shameless imperialist endevours to support big business in affairs like the Spanish American War and the Iraq episodes. I would feel a bit ashamed of such a record myself.

My grandfather did, which is why he moved here. Maybe you should as well, because a country that shames you as much as the USA can does not deserve your loyalty. Come north and join the rest of the world.

Think of us as a transition house with its own flag, and be welcome.

The "shame" you say you feel is lack of self confidence. Work on that one and you will not only be happier, but you will also realize that we live in a great country. In fact, if you thought things were so bad here, wouldn't you move to Canada since it is in your own backyard??

Visit a third world country then. You sure love the rights that you love to complain about that you hate. But don't worry the 2.5 Million of us in Uniform are proud to give that right.

Hold your head up high as you walk into my country! You are welcome here! The weight on your shoulders is a tremendous amount, and is not your weight to carry!
~♥~ God Bless The USA, and I pray that a revengeful country will not take war to the States.

Must be something you did. Think back, what evil deed have you done to a Canadian to make you feel that way? Who did you piss off? Whom did your blow? There's got to be a legitimate reason for your foul attitude other than being a low life lying liberal.

All I really have to say is:
No need to apologize. Seriously. Go, have fun, and do whatever it is you do in Canada... you really don't need to apologize for thinsg beyond your control, and no one there should ever expect you to.
