am i underweight.i am 5 foot 6 and i weigh just over 100 pounds.i am almost 15.everyone is worried saying i am to skinny and i need to gain weight.what do you think

It depends on your natural body type, sweetie. If you are built slim naturally, then don't worry.
By "everyone"(is worried) do you mean parents? Because usually parents are right on with their obsevations.
If you are speaking of friends.......girls your age can be extremely callous.
At 100 lbs. you are considered about 20-50 lbs. underweight depending on your frame, but I don't trust those "standard" weight tables. See your Doc.
Are you having any issues like throwing up, taking laxatives, or working out too much? I know things are pretty hard at your age, and being able to control even ONE thing can seem like a victory.
Talk to your Mom about this. She will steer you in the right direction.
By the way.........shouldn't you be in school;)

That caculator is just a general idea of where you fall. It doesn't take into account muscle or bone size or anything so guys like bodybuilders (although not overweight) would be overweight for this chart. Anyway, about you... If I had to visualize you then...well I would say that you are a light...but then again you are also still young. So there is always some time for your body to pull a curveball and you'll get heavier over the next few years...

If you are still over 100 pounds say when your 17-18 then yeah you'd definitely be considered skinny. I'm sure you look good, but would most likely look great if you were a bit heavier.

You are underweight. Since you're 15, your body's still growing and developing and you may not have finished "filling out" yet. So don't worry too much about it as long as you're eating normally. If you're not eating or feel like you're fat, then you could have an eating disorder. But being pretty skinny when you're that age isn't all that unusual. Remember since you're body's growing, it will need plenty of calories so that it will have the energy it needs. So eat plenty of protein and don't cut out carbs--that's your body's energy source. If you lose weight, then you should see a doc to make sure your body's working fine and to get some advice on how to make sure you're getting enough nutrients. You might consider taking a multivitamin as well, to help make sure you're getting all the vitamins you need.

i know the feeling :\
i am 5'8 and just about 105.

if i were you i would check your BMI.
however, as long as your getting excersise and have a balanced diet, i wouldn't be too concerned.
if your stil having mixed feelings about your weight, talk to a doctor.

2. yes you are underweight, we all know that now get on with your life
3. you jsut asked if your fat, now your asking if your underweight? whats wrong with you
