I'm partial to black and yellow, with a hint of green. I loosely patterned my car after Kyle Petty's Mello Yello car, which I always thought was the paint scheme ever. Black and orange would be pretty cool to though, especially a safety orange. As far as low cost options it depends what class and type of track your racing ie. dirt or asphalt.

superstition dictates NO GREEN for us. No green on or in the car. Husband won't even carry change in his pocket. We went to an away track for a 2-day show. Everything great, in first place coming into day 2. Officials placed a very small scooby do sticker on car, meaning we had already teched for both days. Ended up spending the night in the e.r.room, broken bones. We stick to what works for us, everyone is different. Our first year racing, we went to wal mart and bought those 97 cent cans of paint. We primered it then painted it. Total cost under $25. After time, we saved up $$, bought custom car paint and had a friend paint it in exchange for motor work. If you are doing it yourself, stick to basic schemes. Designs are hard to do if you are a novice. When you get your numbers done, ask about having a logo, or team name printed out and put it on the hood. Our car is bright orange roll bars, red deck and nose piece and sun yellow on the panels. We decided to do this after checking out some imca cars in mags and thought it would look good on our car. And remember, pretty does not win the race, but it sure looks good in the local papers when you do win...lol

I think either black, or red, neither shows the dents, bumps, and scrapes as do other colors, leave the flames for the 1/4 mile don't turn boys, before you get too deep into driving, learn to spell! for an education is critical to attracting a backing entiety, a shoe is only as good as the foot it fits, those that can--do---those that cannot-- teach! If you can,--do!!!!!! then get another question

i have painted my car green for 5 years now we even have are own custom green. but you should go with a standard color arond the bottom of the car so it is easier to repair and touch up. the real way to make a car look good is to use vinyl graphics. they can be pricy if you get them done but you can go on ebay and buy a variety of colors for pretty cheap and cut them yourself. then you have extra to do touchups after you get a big tire mark on the side of your car. thats what i do. the flourescent vinyl is very thin and hard to apply if you havent done it before. and it fade wuickly in the sun matched with a high price you should stay away from it. the holographic vinly is your best bet it cheap looks good and easy to use. good luck. remember you don't have to win if you look good.

Black with a bright pink c*ck with wings down the side. It sounds retarded, however how would you feel being overtaken by a car around the outside bearing the c*ck and balls in all it's glory?!!!!!!!!!!!

Your colors sound good. You could also go against superstition and paint it green so you are sure to stand out.
