I would look you in the eye.
The question is - would you be able to look me in the eye after all the lies you told?

You are proud of too many things. That is dangerous too. Having been in military surely gives you enough pride to show that you love your nation; at the same time, once you are out of service and are in politics, you have to uphold the political maturity. While you fight against an enemy in the army, you are not supposed to fight against the Republicans in Politics. A healthy democracy will survive in constructive and critical analysis and arguements. You should also show the magnanimity to accept the decision
( Opinion) of the majority. In which case, you should allow a Republican look straight into your eye. A conservative Republican should not Shake seeing you. Then you are an acceptable Liberal. If you cannot be liberal verbatum, why should you call yourself a Liberal? Remember, in a Democratic republic, You do not have the power, the power rests with the people.

Wel I don't belong to the ACLU and don't plan on joining since they ran the boy scouts out of a public park in SanDeigo. They had been using it for years and the ACLU pressured the City so hard that the city went along with then to stay out of a lawsuit. Shame. I am a retired 25 year Marine who served his country in Nam twice and other places that weren't real nice. I am a Dem and I am proud to say so. The problem with repubs, a big percent of them never served or had to serve and they just assume that if you are a dem,,you are a peacenik,,,so far from the truth.

Pride is a nature many humans posses and typically it is not a good thing you need to remain blended between humility and pride you can make a stronger argument and people enjoy listening to someone who is both proud and humble instead of being on the extreme end of either. However that being said, you should be proud it is an amazing thing to protect us the civilians it is like being a modern day super hero I salute all who serve our country and I also appreciate your courage both in being a solider and a liberal both of which are hard decisions.

I am glad to see someone doesn't have to conform to what most people think they should be. Whatever you do keep those leaves shaking. I'm not crazy about the ACLU but won't say bad things about you if you are a member. It's a free country, still, and you are entitled to whatever you want to believe and to say.

I'd look you in the eye just before I spit in it.... your military background is meaningless because of your associations, attitudes and beliefs. I'm not shaking in no wind either Liberal. I stand up to Libs like you who talk tough and accomplish nothing. You have no power, just hot air.

You should be proud. Anyone who volunteered for our military in the hopes of protecting our country should be proud. I hope you didn't get stuck in Iraq. You probably mistakingly believed our President as I did when we invaded Iraq. We now know he lied and is too stubborn to admit it.
Congratulations for serving our country and at the same time having the courage to question our leadership.
