Be creative and always think 'outside the box' and you will be known as someone with their own style...not some copy cat...try looking up the history and meaning to garden gnomes and tell your Mom..she might think it less ridiculous or you may decide you don't like the meaning of the little beasties......

A garden gnome will fit right in, if you include a pink flamingo.
Very floridian and seniors love the look. Don't forget your troll dolls for your desk. For luck of course. Bingo is on tuesday's.

it is not ridiculous. Garden gnomes are cute and in some cultures are seen as a protective item. Go for it unless your mom is going to make your life miserable about it.

Well, what decoration isn't ridiculous, after all? It's useless stuff which is there just to please our sense of aesthetic. So if a gnome is what pleases you, then I'd say, why not?! And shame on your Mom for stifling your creativity and individual expression!

Yeah, it would be unusual..that's why it would be so great. You'd be the only one with a bedroom gnome.

I think it's weird to put them in the lawn but do what makes you happy. Nothing wrong with being weird, if anything you'll make people laugh when they see it and that's great!

No, but I think I would find it kind of funny. I'm not sure I would take it seriously--I would just think you had a cool sense of humor. Regardless, it's your room--who cares what other people think? You have to live there--surround yourself with things you like! My room is painted bright blue--my mother HATES it...but I love it. And that's all that matters, right?
