Is it legal for managers to also be promoters?

Seems like UFC fighters are being managed by Dana White. He seems to set the contracts, the amount, the fights. What does the manager do when UFC is seems to be 100% controlled in all aspects by White.

Dana White is the President of the UFC. Just because he announces everything doesn't mean he controls everything. They actually have a matchmaker that sets up the fights and I'm sure they have a large staff that sets up the contracts. UFC is simply less fractured than boxing, so the managers are more behind the scenes.

UFC is more analagous to the NFL than boxing in that respect. White is like the NFL commissioner, he gets to make all of the announcements and has a hand in the decision making process, but there are many other people who have a say in the process.

that's actually what is making the UFC so successful! they handle everything! they're not like greedy boxers who want all the money! boxing has become so pathetic and great fighters don't even want to fight each other...all you see now is a top 10 ranked boxer against some no name amateur! the Dana White makes it a point to set up top notch match ups like Chuck and Tito! and to those who diss MMA saying fighters suck...they're idiots...they're just upset because they know boxing is dying in popularity and MMA (particularly the UFC) is taking all the fans! Sorry guys...we MMA fans prefer action and not two guys walking around each other hitting each other's gloves for 12 rounds!

Dana White doesn't manage the fighters... That is why you constantly hear about fighters and UFC arguing over contract figures.

hey i only favor to talk about that "UFC mma fights" is so incorrect on many degrees, it may be an identical as affirming, nationwide football League football, the perfect struggling with Championship is a employer that holds mixed martial arts fights (MMA), about ur question the amputee will in no way wrestle contained in the UFC or in the different good employer, bc he can no longer shelter him in besides, if someone were given on genuine they could only elbow the hell out of him and he cant do something about it, there are only such truly some disatvantages its no longer even humorous, he cant, punch, kick , or elbow, i dont even understand if he can pull of s submission so with somewhat of luck he stops struggling with before he receives damage

MMA blows. Seriously, so who cares. Any strong guy can come in there and wrestle, choke and kick, and become a UFC Legend (there are already 65 LEGENDS LOL). They all suck at boxing too. If they ever got into a ring with a world class boxer and could only punch with gloves on, they'd all get KO'ed in the first round. Gimme a break. MMA is nothing more than a fad, glorified street fight mixed with a toughman competition.
