It can be anywhere from zero to $2747, depending on your income and filing status. There isn't an "average" amount.

There is no average amount of EIC. It all depends on how much earned wages you have for 2006. It also depends on your filing status as well. The Earned income credit amount changes with every $50 of income that is earned. It can either go up or down. Need more information to answer your question.
