Yes, your laptop most likely has a PC Card slot - here's a PC Card/Firewire adapter from Adaptec:

No there isn't. And it would be very difficult to fir a firewire card into a laptop that doesn't have one.

Yes there is on e-bay I just bught one from Hong Kong received in 4 days, only problem is it does not come with driver so now need to find one. There are several cables you can choose from but these are quite expensive ranging from £30 to £90 just search dv to usb addapters
