I think she was in a fight - not sure, and her right eye where the pupil is suppose to be black, is now grey and speckled with what looks like greeny, grey-ey, yellowey little specks.... can anyone diagnose the problem? I can't afford a vet. She seems fine, (not bumping into things or anything) but I can't really tell. She eats fine, she plays and is really gentle, but it's been like this for months!

Hi, If you live in UK and you receive housing benefit you could go to PDSA, and it would only be a donation of what you could afford. is there no cheap vet you could go to, it's worth going for a check up. My cat Bobbie had an eye infection and it is so rare the vet has only seen it in dogs. On the other hand my cat Charlie has at the moment got an eye infection he has a big ulcer on his eye, if i hadn't taken him to vets it could have cost him his eye. It only cost me £22.00 on Monday for Charlie yes i have to take him back but i know it wont cost me as much, just explain to your vet that you have not got much money so you cant afford much.

You should take her to the vet and have her eye checked out. To you she seems fine but she could have something really wrong brewing behind that eye and it could become very bad and for you very costly if you wait.

Sorry but no, best ask a vet. Try the PDSA they give free care to those on low/or no income. I'm sure the RSPCA would help you too.

sounds like cataracts. she'll go blind in that eye at least. it really should get checked out by a vet.
