The Bible teaches us to "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven." Hollywood serves as a tremendous distraction. While we're enjoying our movies, music, and our Super Bowls, we are distracted from developing a closeness with God. Yes, the God of this world encourages these celebrities, to take us away from what is really important--our relationship with our saviour, Jesus Christ. The more capable they are of distracting us, the more money these people earn. They may or may not know what their real purpose is, which is why some of them thank God for their success. When you look at the lifesyles of these people, do you honestly think the God of Abraham has influenced them? Look at Anna Nicole Smith. Did the God of Abraham influence her? Think about it.

I wonder why the losers don't blame Jesus?
If Jesus is responsible for the winners success, then he must also be responsible for the losers failure.
I'd like to see one of the losers in an interview after the awards ceremony say "this is all Jesus' fault."

I don't know their heart, but Jesus said we'd know them by their fruit & fruit grows on the outside of trees. And from what I see come from these people professing Christ isn't that wholesome. I doubt Jesus is pleased with their rhetoric.

Some are probably very sincere ....and very wrong.
Its hard to beleive Jesus gives a hoot about who wins an oscar.

Probably. It can be career suicide to be religious if you're a hollywood celeb, so they take a big risk thanking God for their success.
