Having enough common sense not to get yourself in such a situation in the first place.

The problem is that there isn't a "most poweful" form of Martial Arts. each person who studies Martial Arts has to find out what discipline is right for them and their own abilities or personal ideals.

Each discipline is just as good as another, but what really matters is how well the individual has trained. only a good training ethic will allow someone to defend themselves.

besides, fighting strength with strength is never a good idea since some people are naturally stronger than another or have a larger body type.

so the best way is to train to avoid fighting strength for strength and use the opponent's own momentum against them.

As someone else said, fighting dirty.

No weapons? There's always an improvisational weapon around, and you're an idiot not to use one in a REAL fight.

MMA is great, but the techniques used are reliant on the rules. Look at the guard positions, look at the muay thai clinch - you think anyone would use that if you could knee to the balls?

Improvisational weapons, blows to the eyes, groin, etc.

the best method isnt to do with techniques or moves. it has to do with advancing on your enemy. dont stand there, or move back to avoid blows. charge him/her with constant attack. it doesnt matter so much what you do as long as the attack is advancing and continuous.

at any point, the guy going backwards is at a disadvantage, so be the guy going forwards. you have all the power, with minimal hurt.

try punching while retreating...weak.
so the best method for self defense I can recommend is forget that tit for tat bullsh!t they teach you people, (because fighting is not sparring, and it is not turn based). as soon as you have to go, GO! and keep going at them.

psychologically it overwhelms people. orthodox attacks and dodging are replaced with multi-blows and encroachment. deep down inside, the person moving backwards knows he is losing, and when the moral is gone, the loss is close.

even if you meet another advancing opponent, it isnt as bad as withdrawing.

dodging attacks only re-sets the fight, and you need to end it. if you are going to lose, it may as well be NOW. like wise if you are going to win, make it NOW!

so forget the hype about "this style" and "that style" and focus on the mindset of the winners. no war was won by retreating, but only by standing your ground and pushing through the enemies lines.

long live King Leonidas

Dim mak is just that, a legend. There is a form of fighting, practiced by a handful of people in Italy, and has been mastered by less than seven people in the whole world, called Gisa Marti, that makes Jeet Kune Do and Muay Thai look like arm wrestling. I saw a documentary once on it, and I was left with my mouth open when I saw the short, swift movements demonstrated by women who were literally, leveling guys twice their size. I pray that it never finds it's way to the mainstream. There would be no more need for guns anymore in the streets! It is unbelievable!

Probably a nuclear deterrent, that's why Iran is so hot to get nukes, and why Kim Jong Young is the man in Korea. That third carrier group isn't on it's way to Iran, it's leaving ground zero of the next Korean nuclear test site.

I practice and compete in MMA. I like to fight fair but truly the best way to take out a Man bigger than you or stronger than you is to GO For The Balls! Strike them in the groin as hard as you can. Even if they were wearing a cup the impact would knock the wind out of them. If you don't get a chance to hit them there, go for the solar plexus.Fight dirty, grab any weapon you can find. Brazillian jiujitsu should only be used if you are taken to the ground, but never try to take some one down in a street fight. They might be carrying a knife or other weapon. Elbow them in the head if nescessary. Well it is ok to take them down but just don't go down with them.
