That does sound a bit like depression.

These are the things that help me live with my depression.

1) Talk - bottling things up doesn't help. Externalise your emotions. Work through your thoughts, and try and understand why you are having them, and if they are helpful or not.

2) Keep a diary - work out what 'triggers' you have, make lists of things that make you feel good and things that make you feel bad. Look at your lists often.

3) Eat healthily - don't drink, avoid caffeine and sugar. Lots of fresh food, fruit and vegetables.

4) Stick to a sleep pattern. Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time - even if you don't sleep at all in the night. Stick to 8 hours and don't sleep in.

5) Get outside for an hour a day - walk in the fresh air and clear your head.

6) Socialise - keep in touch with friends and family. Get out and meet people.

7) Set goals. Set realistic, achievable and positive goals. This are personal - I set goals such a doing a course, joining an exercise class, sticking to my diet etc.

8) Give yourself a break - you aren't going to get better overnight, you are allowed slip ups. Remember that no one judges you as harshly as you judge yourself.

9) Talk to your doctor - ask what help is available and take it! Talking therapies help a lot of people, and CBT or counselling or something similar may help you. Medication is an option, but remember that it is your body - you can decide what goes in.

10) Talk to people who understand - it can be isolating feeling like you are the only person in the world with this awful illness. Talk to people who understand that some days it is too hard to get dress and who understand the reason why you stand in the supermarket crying over which tuna. It is liberating to know that other people are in the same boat - share tips on how to keep positive.

Yes it definitely sounds like depression which is no longer a stigma and can be very serious. Go and see your GP asap. I had been depressed on and off for years until my GP figured that I had really bad PMS and at this time of the month i would loose the plot, I am now on Prozac for the un foreseeable future and my whole family has seen the change in me. The question I had to ask myself is do I want to be like this for ever or do I take tablets for life to make me happy and those around me happy. Wasn't a hard choice. Good Luck Hun

yeah that does sound like depression. you poor thing. But if you're female it could also be PMT. I get that sometimes and it feels like you've hit the bottom of everything and everything's going wrong. It's probably best to go and see your doctor. Don't let them try and put you on medication straight away or anything like that. There are plenty of other solutions for depression. Just talking about it helps a lot.
if you are a girl/woman. Start taking evening primrose oil (it's really cheap) and helps balance out female hormones.

hang in there!

Sounds like u may have mild depression, do u live alone? have any friends? are u overweight? Try and keep urself busy, the more busier ur the less time u will think about depression. Try and stay off anti depressent tablets once on, some folk get hooked on them and have a hell of a job gettin off them, good luck anyway, i know how u feel as i suffer depression, best thing is to fight it.

it does sound like depression to me.
i found sometimes the best thing is to talk to someone and help get out what your feeling, can be a relative, a friend or even a doctor.
if you don't feel like that, finding something to take your mind off it helps, usually something you enjoy doing is best. sometimes you wont feel like it, but it does work.
even going for a nice walk somewhere to clear your mind is a good thing, and good exercise too. my docs have told me that also eating healthy and regular exercise do help

Depression?

Do you have to steal food - sell your body for money - lose a relative. That's the cause of depression - having no friends having no money no boyfriend isn't any reason to be depressed.

You just need to put things into perspective and take all the good points about yourself and turn them into positives!

I think you know the answer already.. talk to a doctor, talk with others... Do you think its situational depression(something in your life that is triggering it, such as unemployement or something) or have you always felt like this??
