We've been together for almost two years and have an 8 month old son. We didn't get married when she got pregnant because we didn't wanna do it for the wrong reasons. We seperated for two and a half months and got back together a couple months ago and we're doing better than we ever have and we love each other more than we have ever loved each other before. Do you think I should propose now or see how it goes for a while longer?

Follow your heart. If this woman is someone you want to spend the rest of your life with, and you can't imaging growing old with anybody else... ask her. I don't know why you separated, but I would make sure the two of you have worked through whatever issue it was that made you separate, or you will run into the same problems again. Good luck with your decision, only you know the correct answer.

I think you should ask her. I respect the fact that you chose not to rush into a marriage because she was pregnant. Too many people feel like it's the "right thing to do", only to realize that they can't do it solely for the child, and end up getting divorced. Seems like you two have weathered the storms, and that your relationship is better than ever. What better time than now to ask her to be your wife?

Weddrev is part right and part wrong. A stable environment is good for children. But getting pregnant is not necessarily a good reason to get married.
But ask her anyway, if you love her enough, and believe that she loves you enough.

Well I happen to think that a new life is more than enough reason to have a secure & stable environment in which to be raised.

Wow that is great! I think you should ask her. You've already gone through your rough patch and it'll be good for a while, although there will be more rough patches I think your over one of the hardest ones.
