There is scent gland located there. Cats rub that area on other things and also groom that area to distribute scent to their fur, which wears down the fur there and creates the little bald spots.

I noticed that too on many cats, not bald spots, but much thinner hair that can look kind of bald at the right angle. some cats seem more prominent in that feature...not sure why, maybe the better to hear with my dear!

It's not bald, it's their eyebrows and the fur is just a bit shorter there. I took my cats to the vet for that and he said that exact thing.. Don't worry about it ;)

That is a trait of some breeds of cats. Siamese cats have bald spots. I have a Siamese & a tabby...the Siamese has it, the tabby doesn't. It just depends on the kind of cat you have.
