Mine is from the Holy Quran:

Say God is the One & Only
the Eternal, the Everlasting
One who begets not
Nor is he begotten
And there is none unto like him (from amongst his creations).

This verse is also the true test for putting someone to test to see whether he/she is really God or not.

If he/she passes this test in toto, consider him/her God, else continue to seek knowledge.

God is one,has no partners.
He is eternal, has no time bound existance, life, death, other human characteristics.
He is immune to physical needs & doesn't require progeny to keep 'Godship' alive after him.
He is not the son of anyone as he is beyond everything.
We cannot compare him to anyone or anything, alive or dead, big or small, good or bad & cannot form any kind of an idea as to what he 'may' look like. We simply don't know because he is beyond imagination.

Therefore if we can see or imagine anything or anyone that claims to be God, then it isn't God, surely by God's own defination !!!

Mine is the very next verse...John 3:17

"For He came not to condemn the world, But by through Him, the world might be save."

Jesus never condemns me or puts me down. He is always lifting me up. PEACE!!!

ooh that's a toughie! The Bible's PACKED with amazing verses that speak into any situation we find ourselves in, whoever we are. One of my favourites right now is 'In repentence and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength' Isaiah 30.15.
Another is 'You are precious and honoured in my sight... I love you.' Isaiah 43.4.
Oh I could go on for ever! Dip in guys, taste and see that God is soooooooooooooo good!!!!!

I like that verse too. :)

My baptismal verse was:

Isa 40v31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
