I've always wondered why some kids, when they've been abducted and are gone for years on end, don't just call the police when they've had opportunities?? I keep thinking of Shawn Hornbeck, that kid that Devlin kidnapped back in 2002. Did he develop some sort of affinity for Michael Devlin, even though the guy was a complete freak?

I would like to know how they cope with being away from their family. I think its sad that runaways feel that it would be better to live without their family then to stay at home.
