Right what do you do when you go round your neigbours house to babysit for some pocket money and when you have finished babysitting you are plastered in a load of flea bites. They have cats (outdoor) and I am pretty sure its them. But I put them outside when I am in the house but still get bitten, what shallI do? I dont want to make up excuses as to not babysitting, nor do I want to say I think your cat has fleas, nor do I want to be bitten. :S Is thee any sprays or cream i can use because they only go for my ankles.

THEY HAVE A SPRAY THAT YOU CAN BUY IN A STORE AND IT;S CALLED OFF OUTDOORS ..THEY HAVE OTHERS ALSO..READ AND MAKE SURE IT;S FOR FLEAS AND MOSQUETOES'AS THOSE ARE THEE BEST ONES...MY SON GETS BIT BY EVERYTHING AND WHEN HE PUTS IT ON ARMS 'LEGS AND OUTER FACE THEY WILL KEEP THEM OFF YOU... THE LADY WHO HAS THEM SHOULD GET A FLEA BOMB AND THAT WILL KILL ALL FLEAS IN HOUSE'BUT WITHOUT FLEA OINTMENT ON CATS THEY WILL NEVER GO COMPLETLRY ...GOOD LUCK

I have a cat, and if someone were to let me know that my cat had fleas, I would be grateful that they would tell me, then I could get my cat the relief i'm sure they would be wanting/needing. Unless your neighbor is one of those uptight kind of people. If that is the case, then go to Petsmart. They will surely have something there that will keep away fleas, some kind of flea repellent. Good luck on your situation.

I would tell them about the fleas. They have children in the house, so fleas are not a good thing to have. Next time they ask you to babysit, say "I'm sorry, but I can't tonight" and tell them what happened the last time you babysat. Good luck.

There are some insect repellants that may work for fleas. Ask at the pharmacy.

I think you should mention it to the neighbor though. Fleas can be very hard to get rid of once they get established.
