This is wrong, but maybe your parents are in a tough situation right now and are just doing what they can. It sucks but you gotta suck it up if you live under their roof. When grandma sold you the car, did you put it under your name? If so, they legally can't take your car, if you want to go that route but maybe for now you're better finding a cheap car. Get a small loan from your bank and make payments on your own car that they wont be able to take from you. Soon you'll be old enough to move out and they can't just take away your stuff like you're a child! Good luck!
If they took your car and your grandmas, and now they want to buy their own, and they're selling grandmas, what happened to yours???

REAL WORLD lesson #1: It may not seem fair to you, but life isn't always fair.
Maybe your Mom and Dad need to use the car you have for their full time jobs. The jobs that pay for a roof over your head, clothes on your back, and food in your belly.
I realize it's not the ideal situation, but you guys are a family and you've got to learn to pull together when times get tough. This way, you will stay together as a family unit.
REAL WORLD lesson #2: You will get though this, it won't kill you-though at 17 EVERYTHING seems like the end of the world, and you'll be a VERY strong and independent woman in the end, okay?

Your parents probably need a car to go to work so they can pay for food and shelter for you and your family.
Yes, it seems unfair what they did but get over it. I'm sure it's for the greater good and welfare of your family.
By the way, if you have a job, save some cash and buy your own car.

Your parents sound like they are financially irresponsible. I'm sorry that you are having to suffer for it. No, it's not right to take your car. My advice to you is to save your money and buy your own after you turn 18. You may want to think about moving out once you graduate, too. I'm assuming that if you're planning on college, you don't expect any help from them.

You are learning a hard lesson in life, kiddo. You might not realize the extent if your parents' huge financial problem yet, but once you do, I hope you will understand and try to help them out. However, this situation may just be temporary so keep your head up.

I agree with you, that's totally bullcrap! How on earth do they expect you to get to work?? I'm sorry to say this about your parents, but they sound very selfish in this situation. Good luck. Hope it all works out.
