No, the Bible teaches that the dead are incapable of thinking, feeling, speaking or hearing. Ecclesiastes 9:5 &10.

Psalm 146:4 says regarding the dead--"His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish."

Satan the Devil started the lie that when people die they are not really dead, that part of them continues living.

Those who have died are in their eternal residence and there is no communication between the this world and that world. There is no sense in praying for the dead because their decision has been made and cannot change. We cannot affect anything concerning that other world by prayer or by any other means. Visiting graveyards is a catharsis for the spirit in dealing with and healing grief. It is a place to remember your loved one and to be thankful for the time you had together. It is not a place of communication - death stops all communication.

What information are you watching because of the fact i haven't seen any water divided, armies scattered, fires quenched or lifeless come returned.. As for prayer I poured my heart out to God over a era of 8 years and firmly believed indubitably somebody became into listening and would answer yet wager what ... not something surpassed off ... except the respond became right into a convincing no each time. And until now you assume i became into soliciting for worldy income i became into soliciting for such issues as my husband to be the religious head of the kinfolk & my sibling to stick to Christ etc.

I don't know from ahkamat, but I do know that Jesus said the Lord God is a God of the LIVING, not of the dead. Asking those who have gone before us is NOT worship. It's communication. Do you not ask friends to pray for you?

Prayers are nothing but talking to air... the dead are dead and have no need for anything we have to offer them.

No. The dead can't hear, speak, think, or feel, so there's no need to try and speak to them or pray for them.

Those in heaven don't NEED our prayers and for those who have
left this world WITHOUT knowing Jesus as their Savior, it is now forever TOO LATE.....Your prayers cannot help them in ANY way
and they are FOREVER condemned to a hopeless eternity in hell
with satan where they will be ENDLESSLY tormented with the TRUTH that they rejected in this world....

and NO - GOD DID NOT "SEND' THEM THERE!!!! --
These poor souls CHOSE to live their
lives without the love and mercy of God - through faith in His Son,
Who gave His life to pay for ALL of their sins forver -- but they did
not bother to acknowledge or receive Him that they could be for-ever saved......

This is the VERY reason that evangelical believers like me 'preach" about heaven and hell and the fact that Jesus died for each and every one of us....because the very fact that He did die is the proof that HELL IS REAL and God does not want ANY of us to be there for all eternity.

Hell was only meant for satan and the fallen angels, NOT FOR ANY OF US!!!!

2 COR 5:20 -- It is GOD Who is IMPLORING every lost person to
come to Him and be reconciled to Him and He is trying to get through to the world THROUGH us, human vessels....in whom the Spirit of God dwells....and yes we fail and we are so totally imperfect, but God knew that going in, so to speak -- and yet He is still using us to reach out to the world - mankind - that He so dearly loves.....

I guess they do reach the dead, whether they can hear and respond is another matter entirely.
