I've heard of the Mormons, I've had friends and neighbors who are Mormon and they're nice people. There are a lot of things that they believe that I don't agree with though. For instance they believe that Jesus Christ appeared to people in America who were originally from the Middle East and that there were 12 tribes in the US living in very large cities. There's no archeological evidence for the cities so I think it's completely unfounded.
They believe that as God is so we shall be. In that, when we die, if we are good Mormons that we will be Gods of our own planets and rule them. I don't believe that either.
They are really nice people for the most part who have a great sense of family, but they are very secretive and make themselves out to be Biblical Christians but that's not really what they are.

I know quite a number of Mormons. I went to a University in Southern Idaho, where Mormons are the majority of the population in many of the small towns. For the most part, Mormons are very kind and gracious people. If you are not a Mormon in a majority Mormon town, you will find yourself politely and discretely blocked out of some opportunities. They are always exceedingly willing to help people and most of all, coonvert people to their religion. However, I find the religion itself to be very much a male dominated and oriented religion. Women aren't as highly valued as they would have you believe up front. There are also a number of practices that are counter to general Christian belief and philosophy.

I had Mormon neighbours (here in the UK) and a nicer family you couldn't wish to meet. They were very devout - the husband held some position of authority in their church - and all the children followed the religion faithfully. I was invited to attend one of their services and I have had discussions with Mormon missionaries. However, they are way out of line with Christianity and the Bible. They put their trust in the writings of Joseph Smith and his prophesies and have some really strange ideas about where mankind came from and where its going to! As to Jesus Christ, well, all I can say it's not the Jesus I know and love from my Bible. I think they are seriously misguided and need all the prayer and help they can get if they are to find out about the true Gospel message.

My best friend became a Mormon, and, bless her cotton sox, she did her best to convert me. I am Wiccan and proud and staying this way. Anyway, the Mormons from her church came round to see me on several occasions and we read from thier book, i asked questions, some they couldn't answer some they could. They were great to get on with, full of humour, (something they needed to chat with me, cackle cackle ), very helpful with any jobs etc, English and American mixed, and i admired the americans for coming over here to spread thier faith to which i told them. However, i dont' agree with alot of thier beliefs, but we all have our own, but that doesn't make them horrible or anything like that. We all have our own personalities, and it is that that makes us, not our religion. They have listened to my beliefs and found it extremely interesting, and i listened to thiers. But they couldn't budge me from my religion. I told them no to being baptised (being dunked in a pool of water), as i get wet enough in the rain we have here anyway!, lol. As with many others who have a religious following, they are very nice people and wish no one harm. I haven't seen a Mormon on here yet who has preached to us Witches/spiritualists/Pagans etc about being evil. They just believe in what they want to believe in and i wish them all the best on thier journey.
Blessings.

The Mormons I have met are really nice people. Their belief though is a false teaching, IMHO.
May God Bless you.

They believe the biblical God is a male deity who had intercourse with Mary to produce Jesus.
They believe women have to be invited to heaven by their husbands.
They used to believe blacks had the mark of Cain and weren't fit to hold high-ranking positions in the Mormon Church.
I don't have a high opinion of Mormonism.

I believe they are generally thought of as nice, well-meaning people. I think the basis for their religion (i.e. Joseph Smith's magic plates) is a bit tenuous, but no more than many others. Never met one. Liked the South Park episode about them, though.

They are very nice, polite young men, mainly American who give a least one year as a missionary overseas, at their own expense. They are very much brainwashed, and cannot query the teachings of their church. They do live a very good clean lifestyle, but they are sadly very much mistaken. Also, their church teaches that even your long departed family members going back hundreds of years can be baptised into their church, and gain eternal life. this is contrary to the word of God, which says that we are given one life and thereafter we face Gods Judgement.

I think they have beliefs that are outside the bible, Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection.
Do not add to his words,
or he may rebuke you and expose you as a liar.
They have 'added' to God's Word.... so I have to believe God's word and say they are not telling the whole truth
