Have them split the costs equally.
Or just have them give you an equal sum of money.
They are your parents and are adults and should be making this experience as easy on you as possible.
Planning and experiencing your wedding day is so awesome and you don't need the added stress of being referee between them.
Remind them of this and tell them to grow up!!

i aggree, get a total for what he wedding will cost, give them the total and have them split the cost 50/50. That way there wont be fighting up to the day of the wedding. You want to try and settle this as fast as possible so you can get back to planning your life ahead of you

I would suggest to them that they each give you what they were expecting to pay for the wedding and assure them that you will spend the money wisely and as you see fit. It worked out great for us and we didn't have people questioning why we spent more on one thing and less on another. We spent it according to OUR priorities and not someone else's. Good luck!

you talk to them since ur the person who is getting married here. Talk with both of them. Tell them that arguing is not gonna solve problems and wont make u happy. Tell them at least you want to see them be good to each other until u get married. They should understand.

it is not your job to get them to agree. ask of your mother what she will be providing monetarily that is and then ask of your father the same and then you and your fiance' make the decisions. do not play a part in their bitterness, if you do your very special day will be tainted with it as well.
