My numlock stopped working on my Dell keyboard. I went and bought a Microsoft wireless. Very nice! Anyway, after loading the disc, that numlock doesn't work as well. Two people told me it is probably the driver. Now after reading this, I'm sure you will think that is incorrect. I am clueless on this one. Please help. I need it for my business and have no idea why only the numlock would not work. The only thing that works is the numlock button beeps and shows me it is on when I press it and the Enter key works as a return button. That's it.

The only thing I can suggest is going into your BIOS when your computer boots up. You will have to search for what key combo gets you into your BIOS for your model.

From there, you can change a setting that will tell the PC to always start with NumLock on by default. If you change this setting successfully and it still does not work I would guess the problem is with your keyboard and not the computer itself.

It might be the software that you are using, have you tried using it in word or notepad?
