A friend of mine is getting married for the second time and then moving from Europe to Asia soon after. I want to give her a thoughtful gift but it needs to be something she can easily transport and it does NOT need to be household related. I don't see her much as she travels a lot so I don't know her home-style. Any ideas would be helpful.

I think you received some great ideas so far. A nice bag for travel, like a carry-on is a great idea. Then you can fill it with travel-related items, maps of asia, a restaurant guide, sunscreen, novels, hand sanitizer, etc.

How about luggage?

LL Bean makes this great travel toiletry bag that unzippers and hangs when you're traveling. I love mine. It's not that expensive, but it can be part of a luggage set for a wedding gift.(http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=personal-organizer&categoryId=34904&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&parentCategory=4525&cat4=2936&shop_method=pp&feat=4525-tn)

You could also get her one of those digital picture frames that holds up to 100 or more photos and displays them in a slideshow format--that way no matter where she is, she can feel close to home with photos! She could even put the digital photos that friends and family take at her wedding on there.

You could also get her a digital camera and she can document her travels or her move around the world--that's a gift that's always handy and appreciated!

Hope those ideas helped!

A nice new travel bag of any type, something classy and stylish for carry on or a nice new makeup bag would be nice. Any sort of accesory, hat, scarf, jewelry.

Get her a photo album and a couple of disposable cameras. That way, she will have an easy way to record her travels.
