She eats really fast(fat cat) when i walk in the room where her food is(so i will fill it up again), and then she throws it up like thirty minutes later. The food is still whole when she throws it up.

I just gave this exact same answer to a similar question someone else asked. She is eating it really fast because she is starving. The reason for that is in my copied answer below:

Do you get her stuff from a regular grocery store? That could be your problem.
Cats are strict carnivores, which means that without adequate meat protein, they will get sick.
The factories that make the stuff sold in regular grocery stores put in the absolute minimum amount of meat protein and stuff the rest with grain proteins and other things the cat does not need.
Many cats do okay with this stuff, but it has the equivalent nutritional value as fast food is for humans.
Some cats do not do well and need more protein. These cats do what is referred to as "scarf-and-barf." They eat the kitty fast-food and their bodies do not recognize the grain proteins as real food, so it rejects the stuff to make room for something real.
Getting food from a specialty pet store is pricier, but worth it, both for the health of your cat, and your carpet. Look for something that is high in meat protein.
I have a cat with this problem and I'm on a budget. What I do is get a bag of the grocery-store kind, and a bag of the healthy kind, and I mix the two together. It has done wonders for her.

Feeding another brand of food will detect if it is the food that makes he throw up or if nothing happens then it is the cat. Furball and gum problems may trigger this. Look at the cats weight and determine the amount to give, sometimes a cat smallow the whole if the amount is too much for it to appreciate the food. Feed it in small portions at an interval of times.Coaching the cat by giving a stroke while the cat eats help it to be patient and calm.
Sometimes cat dry food, given in a long duration will also bore the cats diet.Change flavours and helping the cat accept new items by giving small portions does also give the cat a variety. As the cat grows older, yes it might be frickle in selection, but like a child, well balance food and a whole lot of love helps.Rewarding special treats like baked chicken, will show you how much the angel loves you too.Good Luck.

Do you keep her food full all the time? If not she might be gorging just because it is food time. Sometimes if I forget to feed my cats in the morning when I am rushing out the door and they have to wait all day my female cat will do that she gorges and then throws up but only if she has not eaten all day. Try smaller foods for a while and if that don't work call the vet

That doesn't sound too good.

What you need to do is limit the ammount of food she gets, and try to find a formula that will sit easily on a sensitive tummy. Since you say she is fat, the limitting is a good idea anyway. but be warned: She will not be pleased about being put on a diet, and she will beg.

You might even want to give her a check-up in case something else is going on with her digestive system.

Good luck!

Your cat might have a blockage. You have to ask a vet on this one. There is no way to tell with out taking her in for an exam. It could be a hairball or something else she swallowed. Or she might have a very sensitive stomach.

Maybe you could try giving her less food more time during the day with an interval of two/three hours. It could also be a problem of balls of hair in her stomach. You could try giving her a bit of the paste against balls of hair (you can find it in any shop). Good luck.

MY CAT DOES THE SAME THING WHEN I FEED HIM LATER THAN THE USUAL. UR CAT IS THROWING UP THE FOOD WHOLE BCUS IT'S SO HUNGRY THAT IT DOESN'T EVEN BOTHER TO CHEW IT.

TRY FEEDING UR CAT AROUND THE SAME TIME EVERY DAY. I USUALLY FEED MINES IN THE MORNING AND EVENINGS. IF U CAN'T KEEP THE SAME SCHEDULE EVERYDAY FEED UR CAT LIL PORTIONS AT A TIME OR PUT A TOY BALL IN THE BOWL. THAT'LL SLOW THEM DOWN.

AND JUST BCUS SHE EATS HER FOOD FAST DOESN'T MEAN U HAVE TO KEEP FILLING HER BOWL. ADULT CATS ARE ONLY SUPPOSED TO EAT 1 CUP A DAY OF FOOD DIVIDED INTO 2 PORTIONS A DAY. U R GONNA END UP KILLING UR CAT BY DOING THAT. CAT OBESITY IS VERY UNHEALTY. BUT UR CAT ISN'T THE ONE WITH THE PROBLEM IT'S ACTUALLY U.

you may need to change her food....if you are feeding her food with alot of food coloring that could be part of the problem.....they have specific foods for cats that have uneasy stomachs.
